Concussion is a complex and potentially significant brain injury that must be taken seriously. Failure to do so can have major immediate and long-term consequences.
Adequate care must be taken to identify concussion, as it can be difficult to diagnose and symptoms may also take time to present.
Any player with a suspected concussion must be removed from the field of play and undergo stepwise assessments.
Team Captains, coaches and club officials should familiarise themselves with these guidelines found under the Club Welfare tab
