Match report The rain came and ruined what was panning out to be a very good game.

I lost the toss for once and was put in on a wicket that had taken a lot of rain during the week. As expected it proved a difficult pitch and they had a good seam attack who used it well at times. We were steadily progressing though once Runcie went early. But we kept losing wickets so didn't get a big partnership. At 95 for 3 off 30 overs we were in good shape, but we then lost 4 quick wickets for 6 runs. But then the lower order did a great job again, led by Chowie who hit a magnificent 33 in quick time, including 2 massive 6's. The last 4 wickets added 82 runs in 16 overs which was a great effort.

We opened with the old ball again and had a good start with them 18 for 1 off 10. But then they decided to attack the spinners and managed to catch up the run rate and were looking very comfortable at 100 for 1 off 27. But we then took 3 wickets in 2 overs and the game was in the balance, so they needed 78 off 16 overs but then the rain came.
