Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club 3rd XI v Hemel Hempstead 4th XI on Sat 08 Aug 2015 at 1.00
Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club Won by 4 wkts

Match report The roller coaster ride continues with our fifth victory of the season at home to HH IV's. With the Club in turmoil surrounding the suspension in the morning of three first team players, two late call up's (Messrs Gostling and Shah) fully capitalised on their promotion from the 4th team.
Another stroke of luck was losing the toss, with HH electing to bat meaning we had to chase on a typically batter friendly Leventhorpe wicket.
Dongworth continued his recent form bowling a good line and length with late in swing finishing with 2 wickets, bowling in conjunction with firstly OCS and then Tejas, who came on first change and bowled economically taking two wickets for 24 off 10 overs. Another encouraging sign was the return to form of James Gostling who bowled with good pace once he found his rhythm, taking two wickets along with Romesh who also bowled tightly around the wicket, picking up a wicket, after a dreadful fielding performance following a night on the whisky and a 4 am finish!
We were set 180 on a flat track, but with few runs and little confidence in our batting line up, it was by no means a foregone conclusion.
With Bovaird and Chisnall going cheaply, Levey and Tejas laid the foundations with a 50+ partnership, getting us past 100. Harnack continued his excellent form with a quick scoring 30 driving and cutting with some well executed technical strokes to the boundary. With the HH opening attack returning, and Harnack out, it was left to Bowler and Romesh to get us home after a slight wobble, and a few nervous bottoms as 9,10 and jack scrambled to get their pads on. With Bowler holding firm on 10 Not Out, Romesh's remarkable day finished on a high with an astonishing 4 ball innings that featured four consecutive four's taking us to a well earned victory and 30 points in a match that we really needed to win. It was one of those days, where things seemed to go right (there have been plenty this season where everything has seemed to go wrong!)but with the early morning addition of Man of the Match, Tejas and James Gostling; and Romesh's day kind of reflecting the roller coaster season that we are having, we enjoyed the intoxicating effects of a few cheeky Kronenbourgs to reflect on a well earned and rewarding afternoon's work.
With availability looking challenging next week to say the least with the continued suspension of the 'Twenty Twenty Three', it's going to be a tough end to the season, if we are to avoid relegation to Division 9A.
